1. The Border Collie has a broad head, and the length of the head is almost equal to the length of the front face; the mouth shape is U-shaped, and compared to the pointed mouth shape, their mouths are more rounded.

2. The ears are of medium size, set widely apart, sensitive and flexible, and kept erect or semi-erect. The ears of border collies who are just one month old may be very straight and some may not stand up at all, but they will stand up slightly as they grow older.

3. The eyes are relatively open, medium in size, oval, and mostly brown in color. Border Collie’s eyes are very lively. When choosing a dog, be sure to look for one with bright and shining eyes. This means that the dog is healthy.

4. The muzzle has a thin tip until the tip of the nose, the nostrils are well developed, and the nose is generally black.

5. The chest is deep and moderately wide. The forelimb bones are well developed and parallel to each other. The ankles are slightly tilted.

6. The dewclaws can be removed, the feet are compact and oval, the pads are deep and strong, the toes are moderately arched and compact, and the toenails are short and strong.

7. The rear drive is wide and inclined towards the tail. The thighs are wide, long and deep, and the knee joint angle is appropriate. The hindquarters are well stocked, parallel to each other and slightly calves.
