For golden retrievers with good pedigrees, we generally use the principle of slowing down their growth rate to allow the puppy’s skeleton to grow healthily. Food intake should be strictly controlled, and 70% full is enough. You should also pay attention to drinking water. Don't drink too much water. If you drink too much water, your dog's muscles will relax and it will look like it is bearing weight. Take your puppy out for more activities and get more exercise, but don't exercise too strenuously. Note that you cannot feed dogs any seasonings, such as soy sauce, salt, MSG, sugar, pepper, aniseed, etc. Do not feed some foods that are not easy to digest, such as soybeans, sesame seeds, etc. There are also squids and other things that cannot be eaten. Also, never give it chocolate, as chocolate is fatal to dogs.
2. Clean the ears
First check whether the auricle and external auditory canal are red and swollen or if there is black-red foreign body secretion. If so, you should seek treatment from a sales doctor as soon as possible. Use cotton wool to wipe the dog's eardrum and ear canal to remove the earwax that is easier to clean. First hold the dog's head so that it cannot move, and then put ear drops into the ear canal. For general household cleaning, two or three drops are enough. Gently massage around the eardrum with your hands to help the ear cleaning water fully exert its descaling effect. At this time, you can usually hear a slight sound of water in the ear canal. After about two or three minutes, the cleaning is completed. When the owner lets go of the dog, he should immediately step back three to four meters to prevent the dog from throwing the ear cleaning water all over you. Nowadays, most of the more advanced ear cleaning solutions evaporate on their own. However, to be on the safe side, you still need to clean the ear canal with cotton wool to ensure that there is no residual moisture inside.
3. Take a bath
Before bathing, the golden retriever should be allowed to take a walk to allow it to excrete urine and feces, and then bathe in sequence. Put the puppy in warm water and remove the secretions near the anus first. Soak the sponge in pet shampoo diluted dozens of times, then wash the whole body from the head to the back, and then clean it with clean water. Be careful not to let shampoo enter your eyes, nose and mouth. You can also shower with water of the same temperature. After cleaning, let the dog shake off the water and then dry it with a towel. After wiping off the moisture on the body surface, use a hair dryer and comb to dry and tidy the hair.
4. Hair care
To make the golden retriever’s hair shiny and beautiful, you must first feed the golden retriever more protein-rich feed. A certain content of vitamin E and vitamin D must be ensured in the feed. Some seaweed, vegetables, lean meat, cooked egg yolks, vegetable oil, etc. can be added appropriately. Try to feed as little food as possible high in sugar, salt and starch. Secondly, the dog should be exposed to the sun frequently; in addition, the dog's coat should be combed every day to stimulate the blood circulation of the dog's skin and promote the growth of hair.
5. Pay attention to the physical condition of your dog
Dogs with a healthy mental state are lively and cute, full of energy, flexible in action, with alert eyes, and their ears often move with the sound. When they hear the slightest movement, they will listen carefully and stare with their eyes. The direction of movement indicates a very alert mental state.
