What to do if your puppy has diarrhea and vomiting

Step 1. Do a good job in quarantine and prepare valid documents
Airlines will require passengers to provide animal quarantine certificates (valid health certificates and vaccination certificates) issued by health and quarantine departments at or above the county level. It should be noted that the quarantine certificate is valid for up to 7 days, so the date of departure must be within the validity period of the animal quarantine certificate.
Step 2. Apply for accommodation
Before purchasing tickets, passengers need to confirm whether the flight they are traveling on allows pets, that is, whether there is a live animal cargo compartment. Airlines have restrictions on the number of pets such as dogs and cats that can be checked in. Passengers must book an aerobic cabin for their pets and it is best to apply to the airline at least 3 days in advance.
If before the flight takes off, the airline adjusts the aircraft to a model that cannot carry small animals, then the passengers can only give up the check-in or change to other flights. It should be noted that if there are no connecting flights during the journey, the possibility of the pet being sent to a different place by mistake will be much smaller.
Step 3. Buy a flight case
A sturdy and regular flight box is a guarantee for your pet to feel comfortable and safe on the plane. It can generally be purchased in pet stores for tens to hundreds of dollars. The flight box must meet the following requirements: 1. It can prevent animals from damaging, escaping and extending out of the container; 2. Ensure air circulation; 3. It can prevent the leakage of feces.
Therefore, a good flight box has a steel structure, and the chassis and surroundings should be surrounded by iron sheets, leaving only a ventilation opening at the top, and the opening can be solidified with lead wire. At the same time, a mat should be tied under the chassis to prevent pets from leaking urine and contaminating other people's goods. Passengers can tie fasteners to the top of the flight box to prevent other items from squeezing the container.
Step 4. Preparation before boarding
Before traveling long distances, pets need to have all their vaccinations to be safe. If the trip is long, consult your veterinarian to see if your pet needs to be sedated. In the cold winter, pets can be protected from freezing by wearing warm clothing.
Pets should fast and urinate at least 3 hours before boarding. Pets are prone to thirst when flying, so passengers need to secure a large enough drinking fountain (and some food) in the flight case. If your pet doesn’t know how to use it, it’s best to train it in advance.
On the day of flight, passengers need to arrive at the airport 2 hours in advance to go through the procedures. Please consult the service staff for the specific location. Try not to let pets pass through the X-ray machine. Security personnel can use detectors used for humans to check. In addition, if your flight is delayed, you can ask the cargo office to put your pet in the cargo hold later.
Step 5. Pick up at the airport
If the pet uses the baggage check channel, the pet will arrive when the person arrives; if the pet uses the cargo transportation channel, that is, the owner and the pet are not on the same plane, the passenger needs to "pick up" as early as possible. Pets spend lonely, restless hours in 'little dark room', so owners pick them upWhen petting your pet, be sure to check its condition and comfort it well.
