 1.Appetite

The dog is not interested in the food he usually likes to eat, has a reduced appetite or refuses to eat. If the puppy eats dirty things or foreign objects that are too large in fat or cannot be digested, it will lead to abnormal gastric function and refusal to eat or vomiting. Various infectious diseases and medical diseases may also lead to loss of appetite or vomiting.

 2. Abnormal defecation

Dog diarrhea is a manifestation of disease, especially if diarrhea occurs one after another. Measures should be taken to seek veterinary diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible. A healthy puppy will defecate about three times a day, and adult dogs usually defecate twice a day. The color of feces varies depending on the food, usually black or brown-black or yellowish-brown. It should be moderately soft and hard, and can be picked up with tissue paper and left behind. A little mark on the ground is the most standard form of feces. If it is soft when picked up and falls to the ground, it is considered soft. If it is very hard and leaves no trace when picked up, it is somewhat dry. If the dog suddenly has Diarrhea, mushy or watery stools, or stools that are rock-hard, or even have blood streaks or jelly-like material, are all signs of disease.

 3. Vomiting

Dogs, like cats, are carnivorous animals that are prone to vomiting. This is not necessarily a disease. If vomiting persists or the vomit is abnormal, it should be taken seriously.

 4. Dryness and wetness of the nose

Normally, the tip of a dog’s nose is black and moist. If you have a wet and runny nose, you may have a cold. If the tip of your nose is dry and rough, it is a sign of fever.

 5. Sneeze or shed tears

Sneezing or tearing are the main symptoms of a cold. If you seek medical treatment in time, the treatment will generally be good.

 6. Drinking water disorder

If the dog wants to drink water or the water that enters the mouth drips out, this may be a throat disease, such as pharyngitis. Dogs suffering from rabies are extremely thirsty and cannot drink water due to pharyngeal paralysis. Sometimes the sight of water can cause madness.

7. Shake your head and scratch your ears

This is a unique symptom of ear disease. If the dog’s ears are dirty and smelly, there may be parasites. If there is dander on the ear tips, there may be scabies.

8. Scratching the skin

If the dog appears restless and scratches its skin and coat frequently, it means that the dog has fleas, lice and other parasites, or is infected with scabies, fungal skin diseases, eczema or pseudorabies. At this time, the dog's coat is thin and there may be bald spots.

9. The color of gums and tongue

The redder the color, the healthier the person. White means anemia, or it may be intestinal parasites or blood in the stool (parvovirus or hookworm disease).
