How to raise a Bullmastiff? No matter what kind of dog you are raising, you should be prepared before raising it. The Bullmastiff is actually a relatively easy pet dog to raise, as long as the owner pays a little attention to it. Just a few details.

Before raising a puppy, you should be as prepared as possible.

First, you should provide it with a comfortable bed. Get an old box or basket for it above the floor and away from drafts. At this stage, there is no need to buy an expensive bed for it, as it will probably chew it into pieces. Place an old blanket in the bed so it can sleep warm and cozy in its bed. The bed should be placed in a relatively quiet place to ensure that it is not disturbed when resting. Many people place their puppies in a secluded corner of the kitchen. After a few days, you can circle a place around the bed to isolate it from the outside world and make a safe "nest" for it. You can spread some newspapers on the floor and around his bed for the first few days until he has been trained to live indoors.

Special food and water dishes must be prepared for it according to its size. The vessel must be designed so that it can be comfortably eaten and drank without burying the nose or ears. Prepare some puppy-specific food for his arrival. Before adopting a puppy, ask the breeder what foods the puppy has been accustomed to eating. It is best to maintain this diet for the first few days and then gradually change.

Puppies like to chew, which is normal behavior because they are teething. Prepare some special toys for your puppy to chew on to prevent him from chewing on other things. The toy doesn’t have to be nice, it just needs to be sturdy, non-toxic and large enough to prevent your puppy from swallowing it. If a puppy swallows certain objects it may become lodged in the throat, stomach or intestines, which could be life-threatening for the puppy.

Although your puppy cannot be taken out until he has received all his vaccinations, you still need to prepare a suitable collar for him. The collar should be soft and fit well. Do not wear it for too long in the first few days, and only wear it under supervision. The collar should not be too tight, nor too loose, because too tight will make the puppy very uncomfortable, while too loose may get stuck on protruding objects. You should check your dog daily and gradually loosen the collar as his neck grows. Do not wear a collar that tightens on your puppy. Because, if used improperly, it will cause great harm to the puppy's neck.

You also need to buy a suitable comb or brush for your puppy. The type of comb depends on the puppy's hair.
