We often hear other people say how adult cats are, but do you know how big an adult cat is?

Cats over twelve months old are considered adult cats. Generally, cats between one and eight years old can be called adult cats, while cats over eight years old can be called senior cats. Some relatively long-lived cats can live to be around 17, 18 or even 20 years old.

Although cats will have their first estrus around 6-8 months old, this indicates that the cat has reached sexual maturity. Cats enter adulthood at around one year old, and their second estrus indicates that they have reached physical maturity. If the owner does not intend to breed the cat, it is recommended to take the cat to a pet hospital for sterilization surgery when it is six to eight months old. It is worth noting that elderly cats, like young cats, need careful care from their owners.
