Cats must be vaccinated against rabies. Cats may carry and spread rabies. Rabies is an infectious disease with a fatality rate of nearly 100% and is extremely contagious. Even if a cat never goes out, it is still very likely to be infected. Moreover, rabies can also be transmitted to humans. Once humans contract an infectious disease, the possibility of cure is extremely small, so cats must be vaccinated against rabies in time.
Precautions for rabies vaccination in cats:
1. Cats can generally receive rabies vaccine after three months. When cats are too young, their resistance is relatively low. Low, not suitable for rabies vaccination.
2. It is not recommended to bathe the cat after receiving the rabies vaccine. This may cause the cat to become stressed or catch a cold, causing immune failure and leading to more serious diseases.
3. Cats need to be vaccinated against rabies every year. It does not mean that one injection of vaccine can provide lifelong immunity. Cats need to be given a booster shot every 11 months.
