People with asthma cannot have furry things around them, so they cannot keep pets at home. People will have allergic symptoms, and cats will do the same. Therefore, cat owners must observe the following situations, so as not to find it difficult to deal with when it becomes serious.
1. Food allergy symptoms: Foods containing food colorings, chemical additives, preservatives, expired food, grains, etc. can cause food allergies in cats. Cats will experience symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, dermatitis and skin itching, hair loss, and hair loss.
2. Drug allergy symptoms: Because cats’ physiques vary greatly, many cats will have allergic reactions at safe dosages when receiving treatment with certain drugs. Common drugs that can cause allergies in cats include: penicillin, kanamycin, tetracycline, hemostasis, vitin calcium, iodine glycerin, pralidoxime and other commonly used drugs. Cats will have weakened heartbeat and breathing, swollen eyelids, sometimes rashes, and are in a state of shock. Severe cases can lead to direct death of the cat.
3. Bacterial skin allergy symptoms: It is mainly caused by fleas, lice, mites and other parasites that cause allergic symptoms in cats. The parasites adhere to the cat's body surface, and when they suck the cat's blood, the saliva containing irritating substances will penetrate deep into the cat's skin. Cats with sensitive constitutions may also become allergic. Allergic cats will develop dermatitis and eczema all over the body, with pustules and red patches appearing. Cats will bite the itchy skin, causing hair loss and other symptoms.
4. Other allergic symptoms: If the cat's skin resistance is weak, air dust, household insecticides, camphor, air fresheners, disinfectants, paint products, etc. will cause the cat to have allergic symptoms. Cats will have symptoms such as skin itching, redness and swelling, hair loss, respiratory irritation to the nose, etc. to varying degrees.
Allergic diseases may seem trivial, but they can cause a lot of trouble for cats. Some allergic causes will accompany cats throughout their lives and cannot be solved. Therefore, in daily life, one should be good at observing and discovering which things or foods cats are allergic to, so as to block these pathogens so that pet cats can live a healthy and comfortable life.
