Adult cats cannot drink pure milk. Cats and people have different body structures. People can absorb the protein, fat, lactose and other nutrients contained in pure milk when drinking it. However, cats are not suitable to drink pure milk because it contains lactose because cats lack the lactase enzyme that breaks down lactose. If it cannot be decomposed, it can easily cause diarrhea in cats.

Beverages that cats cannot drink:

1. Milk. If a cat ingests a large amount of milk, it will cause lactose intolerance, causing diarrhea, dehydration, and death in severe cases.

2. Coffee, black tea and green tea. Coffee, black tea and green tea contain caffeine, which can stimulate the heart and central nervous system of cats. Excessive consumption can cause severe symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, excitement, nausea, and difficulty breathing.

3. Alcoholic beverages. After a cat drinks it by mistake, alcohol will be absorbed in the blood. If it is excessive, it will damage the cat's brain cells and body cells, causing vomiting, diarrhea, difficulty breathing, nervous system abnormalities, etc.
