The sick cat has symptoms of abdominal pain, the abdomen is sensitive to palpation, and the abdominal wall is tense. In intussusception, a "sausage-like object" can be palpated in the midsection. When obstruction occurs in the anterior bowel, vomiting can be an early symptom. How to treat intestinal obstruction in cats

After diagnosis of small intestinal obstruction, surgical treatment should be performed immediately (and corresponding body fluids and electrolytes should be replenished) to remove the obstruction. If the obstructed intestinal segment becomes necrotic, it should be resected and an intestinal anastomosis performed. On the day of fasting after surgery, liquid food will be given for the next 6-7 days.
