What medicine should be kept at home when raising a cat?

To wean a cat, you first need to confirm the time of weaning. Generally, cats can start weaning when they are one month or one and a half months old. Secondly, goat milk powder needs to be used to replace breast milk, which can be fed to the cat until it is two months old. Finally, after the cat is two months old, it can gradually transition to soft kitten food. Once the cat is used to the cat food, you don’t need to soak the cat food anymore and just feed the cat dry cat food directly.
1. Confirm the time of weaning
Kittens begin to grow their deciduous teeth in about 15 days. By the time they are one month old, their deciduous teeth have basically grown and they can eat by themselves. Therefore, when the kitten is one month old, it can start to be weaned.
2. Use goat milk powder to replace breast milk
When weaning, cats can be fed goat milk powder or milk cake. Kitten milk cake needs to be soaked in warm water before feeding it to the cat. Pay attention to feeding the cat a small number of times to prevent the cat from not eating enough or suffering from indigestion, which may lead to hypoglycemic shock in the cat.
3. Gradually transition to soft soaked kitten food
After two months, you can switch to weaning milk cake or kitten cat food to feed the cat. However, because the digestive system of the kitten is not fully developed and the intestines and stomach are relatively weak, dry cats cannot be fed directly. For food, soak the cat food in warm water until soft before feeding it. You can feed it 3 to 4 times a day. The feeding amount can be based on the recommended feeding amount on the cat food bag. When the cat is three months old, it can be fed directly with kitten food to complete weaning.
Note: After the kittens are weaned, as the maternal antibodies decrease, the immunity will also decrease. Therefore, the kittens can start to be vaccinated when they are two months old. Before vaccination, it is best not to take a bath or go out, etc.
