What medicine should be kept at home when raising a cat?

If a cat suddenly becomes lethargic, accompanied by depression, loss of appetite, weight loss, etc., it may be a precursor to colds, cat-borne diseases, feline plague and other diseases. The owner needs to take the cat to a pet hospital for examination and treatment.
What should you do if your cat suddenly becomes sleepy?
1. Lethargy is usually a reflection of the cat’s illness. Drowsiness and listlessness may be signs of fever, difficulty breathing, or pain. This is subtly different from a cat lying in bed, because listlessness means that the cat is conscious but does not have the energy to interact or participate in daily activities.
2. It is necessary to pay attention to the sleeping time of cats. Sick cats are more lethargic. If the cat has no other symptoms, such as vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, or obvious swelling, continue to observe it. If symptoms worsen, seek medical attention immediately.
3. If the cat shows no other symptoms, please maintain 24-hour observation (of course, if you are really worried, you can also take it for a medical examination first). If it appears listless for two days, you need to go to a pet clinic for medical treatment or have its temperature taken immediately.
4. Take the cat’s temperature. A rectal thermometer can be used. However, if the cat appears uncooperative, it is best to stop and leave the task to your veterinarian. If the body temperature is between 37.5-39.2 degrees Celsius (99.5℉ to 102.5℉), it is normal. However, if the temperature is above 102.5℉, it is a sign of low fever, and above 103℉, it means that you have a real fever. If your cat has a fever, seek medical attention immediately.
5. A cat with a fever usually sleeps deeply, may not want to eat, has dull fur, and has its hair standing up at strange angles. If you feel it with fingers with normal body temperature, you will find that the cat's nose is abnormally dry and its ears are abnormally hot. Although touching the ears is not a very accurate way to determine body temperature, if a cat's ears are cool, then it definitely does not have a fever.
