Ascites symptoms in kittens

In the early stage of ascites, kittens will have symptoms such as abdominal enlargement, weight gain, swollen limbs, poor energy, and loss of appetite. In the later stages, kittens will have difficulty breathing, difficulty walking, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, and abnormal defecation. If not Prompt treatment may be life-threatening. If a kitten is found to have symptoms of ascites, it is best to send it to a pet hospital for examination and treatment immediately to avoid delaying the condition.

Tips:

Do not take cats to crowded places to prevent bacterial infection. Feed cats with as little salt and oil as possible.
