How to differentiate between long-haired Chihuahuas and Papillon dogs

Head
The head of the long-haired Chihuahua is in the shape of an apple. The head of the Papillon is smaller, covered with short hair, the width of the head is moderate, and the front part of the head becomes tapering.
Eyes
The long-haired Chihuahua's eyes are large and round, not protruding, and are dark brown, ruby-colored or bright in color; while the Papillon's eyes are nuclear-shaped dark brown with black eye rims.
Ears
Long-haired Chihuahuas and Papillon dogs have erect ears. Chihuahuas have large ears that will stand upright when they are nervous; Papillon dogs have drooping hairs of appropriate length at the tips.
Coat
The coat of the long-haired Chihuahua is soft, flat, long and curly; the coat of the Papillon is glossy, silky long hair.
Tail
The long-haired Chihuahua’s tail is of moderate length and is carried upward or outward; while the Papillon’s tail is set high, like a chinchilla.
